About

Nina Tuxbury is a New York-based camera loader and 1st & 2nd AC with experience across feature films, narrative shorts, and commercial work.

She began her career working on independent features as a 2nd AC, and has since expanded her experience working as a digital loader, 2nd AC, and 1st AC on a variety of productions. In 2026, she had the opportunity to work on her first union feature in camera department and is now pursuing membership in ICG Local 600 as a camera assistant. Nina has experience with focus pulling, setting up shots, building cameras, proper slating technique, and troubleshooting technical problems. She appreciates the inner workings of the camera department and strives to set her team up for success through careful prep and efficient day-to-day operations on set.

Nina is a graduate of the Purchase College film conservatory, where she collaborated with fellow students as both director of photography and 1st AC on numerous short films. She grew up in upstate New York with her parents, her younger sister, and several cats. She is drawn to telling stories about interpersonal relationships in families with a focus on grief, loss, and the LGBTQ+ community.

Nina is driven and eager to work on new projects. She is available for work throughout upstate NY and NYC.
